“I’m still a bit in awe of the whole thing more than two weeks later! First, I’m thankful for our preparatory conversations with Mary because I went into the experience feeling knowledgable and empowered. And then the night of [the birth], it was so helpful and reassuring to have Mary in our home and to have the gift of supported labor in our own space. I’ll forever be grateful that Mary called exactly the right moment to go to the hospital. And then once we were there, I don’t know how I would have made it through and stuck with a natural birth without Mary’s physical and emotional support.”
